Thanks to You Folks who purchased my Music.

Seems that Some people from Canada, Europe, and New Zealand found my stuff worth a hearing.  Thanks, for the Encouragement.  Everyone else that clicks a listen, Thanks to you as well.  I can't tell where you are.

Assume USA, but maybe not. Thanks, whereever you are.

Just finished providing incidental music for "Dearly Beloved".  This a comedy which was very funny.  Presented in Harrison, Arkansas at the Lyric Theater.

Rehearsing for Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde.  Soon to be performed there.

    The Secret

I finished reading "The Secret"  today.  An excellent two day read.  I absolutely believe that everyone should read this book or watch the DVD.

    Sold One!!!

Someone on iTunes Canada purchased a copy of "Ominous" from the String Musings Album.   Thanks.   Also some folks on Napster listened parts of that Album.  Thanks again.
& thanks to CD Baby for setting it up.

    A Float Trip

Just finished a float trip from Tyler Bend to Gilbert along the Buffalo.  Tyler Bend is west of Highway 65 and Gilbert is east.  This is a short trip only about three hours, but well worth the effort.  The river is pleasant here and there are ample beaches, bluffs, and brush for fishing.  Seven of us were outfitted by the Gilbert General Store.  Three canoes and a kayak, made the trip quite pleasant.  We were entertained by basking turtles, a large crane soaring from its perch directly in front of us, and a raccoon fishing along the bank sporting a very fine ringed tail.

    First Whipoorwill

I had been worried that they would not sing this spring.  We'd had a sharp cold snap that browned the ends of the oak branches, and threatened my wife's 150 year old bleeding heart, that her great grandmother had planted, but tonight they sang.  I was pleased with that.  The bird that announced annually that "Chip fell out of the White Oak." was alive and well and living outside my chamber door.

    From Ulysses, Kansas

I spent the day driving from Enid, Oklahoma to Ulysses, Kansas. I am to depart tomorrow for Califonia.
It rained this morning and is clear now,  still cold for spring.  I would recommend the Bar Lazy L Bed and
Breakfast on the Bar Lazy L ranch, where they raise Henderson Quarter Horses.  These are really nice folks.

    Art Auction

Three of my albums of music were sold to Ed Pennebaker at the Ozark Arts Council art auction
on April 7, 2007, in Harrison, Arkansas.  He had a glass chandelier which sold for over $2000.00
    at the same auction.

    This Day I Am Published

I published my first CD on CDBaby today.  They are a great service to musicians who lack marketing skills.
So grateful for their help in making this possible.  This is a recomendation for them.  May they grow and grow.

    Snow Geese

A large population of Snow Geese mingled with ducks and Canadian Geese landed in two areas East of Pocahontas, Arkansas.  This was observed and photographed today, January 7, 2007, by myself, my wife and a gentleman from Northern Ireland.

    August Heat!

Insufferable heat,  broiling dusty dry crackling grass endures the pavement heated by an August sun.

    September Rains!

We have heard that a little extra rain in September yields a more colorful fall foliage.  We ought to have  beautiful leaves this fall.

    Whirlpools

I was watching shadows of eddies in a swimming pool with my daughter.  For years they have seemed to me to be analogous to black holes and galactic structures.   I pointed this out to her explaining the dark centers surrounded by rings of escaping light  similar to acretion disks.  Spiral arms were present as well as random interactive gravitational structures.  These two dimensional shadows seen in bright sunlight and caused mostly by turbulence have long been of interest to me.
My daughter quickly pointed out a line extending half the length of the pool and passing through one of the turbulent fields.  I suggested it might be a crack in the floor of the pool.  When she pointed out that it was bending and changing shape inconsistant with that possibility, I realized a potential for string theory.   We both observed the eddies to break up as they passed over the line.  We both concluded that it might be a pressure gradient,  the cause of which we could not determine.
Much more study and several papers on this subject are much deserved.  This is only a suggestion, but such studies might yield a clearer definition of gravity, star strings, string theory, and other physical phenomenae.

    General Complex Functions

I published this to Wikipedia May 3, 2006.

    x = real(z * (t + d(f(t),t,n) * i) * ir + a + b * i), y = imag(z * (t + d(f(t),t,n) * i) * ir + a + b * i)

The above two equations completely define the two dimensional plane for all f(t), so that any f(t) may be zoomed by z, rotated by quadrant r, or translated by a+bi. Further all forms of f(t) obtained by any zoom, rotation, or translation will be similar to the original f(t). Also integrations or derivatives of degree (n) are valid if applied to the original f(t) prior to application of the above equations. If a=0 and b=0 and r=0 and z=1 then f(t) exists in a normal plane. Rotations are achieved by changing the value r from 0 to 4 as the rotation moves from 0 to 360. The possibility of expressing quadrants as partial values is fully defined by this method. The points lying on f(t) take the form of complex coordinates in the form of (x+yi). Translations are performed by adding (a+bi) to (t+f(t)i) thus moving all points to new locations in the plane. In both rotation and translation the similarity of the new (t+f(t)i) to the original f(t) is exactly similar. The z factor may range from - infinity to + infinity. At zero, the function becomes extinct. At negative values of z f(t) is reversed. At positive values f(t) enlarges as z approaches infinity. The same is true for negative values except the effect is completely reversed. This method allows for expression of f(t) in any rotation, zoom, or translation in the original plane, without rotating or distorting the plane in any way. Only the f(t) is changed. The coordinates of points on all similar constructions of f(t) are completely defined, as well as the complex coordinates of f(t) belonging to the plane. Derivatives of f(t) with respect to the variable t in are expressed in degree (n) by the expression: d(f(t),t,n. If n=0 the the expression defaults to f(t). Negative (n) yeilds integrals of f(t). Biggers B&B

I am writing this enjoying the comfort of Biggers Bed and Breakfast just north of Hardy Arkansas.  This is Arkansas at it's finest.  Great restaurant, Great service, Great rooms.  I will even add a link to this Blog because it is such a great place.  My daughter is here from California and we are spending the weekend here.  Couldn't be better.  Try it you will like it.  There is not a better way to enjoy the magnificence of Spring River.
