    Mega-Universe

Just because the speed of light prohibits us from observing beyond space time limits does not mean that there is nothing there.

I have long believed that the Hubble constant was the result of illusion.  Although your mega-galaxy is a real possibility,  I tend to

believe that the source of the illusion is found in the properties of light.  Every observer is at the center of its own observable universe.

I maintain that this is a fundamental property of any mega-universe.  The limits of observation are always confined to the location of the

observer.  Draw three spheres of observability.  Two intersecting, and one outside the other two.

If ours is the one outside the other two,

then we may not observe the intersecting universes, nor they ours.

Observers inside either of the other two spheres would be able to observe only the information found in their respective spheres, some of which

would be common to both spheres of observability.

I maintain that the mega universe is infinite and full of such spheres of observability.

Unfortunately,  at this point in time I cannot prove it, but some have begun listening.

Keep up the quest.  Some are on the right track.

A question:  Does gravity affect objects outside the sphere of observability?

    2009 Ice Storm

Still cleaning up after the biggest ice storm in my life time.  Those guys that fixed the power and infrastructure were amazing.  My home was 8 days without power, and given the destruction,  I didn't think we would have power for over a month.  Some didn't.  Some lost their homes, and some lost their lives.  I don't really think folks know just how serious this was.  I understand that as I write this on Feb. 25, there are still some folks without power.  from Oklahoma to Kentucky a path of devastation over 100 miles wide was inundated with crippling ice.

    A Float Trip

Just finished a float trip from Tyler Bend to Gilbert along the Buffalo.  Tyler Bend is west of Highway 65 and Gilbert is east.  This is a short trip only about three hours, but well worth the effort.  The river is pleasant here and there are ample beaches, bluffs, and brush for fishing.  Seven of us were outfitted by the Gilbert General Store.  Three canoes and a kayak, made the trip quite pleasant.  We were entertained by basking turtles, a large crane soaring from its perch directly in front of us, and a raccoon fishing along the bank sporting a very fine ringed tail.

    First Whipoorwill

I had been worried that they would not sing this spring.  We'd had a sharp cold snap that browned the ends of the oak branches, and threatened my wife's 150 year old bleeding heart, that her great grandmother had planted, but tonight they sang.  I was pleased with that.  The bird that announced annually that "Chip fell out of the White Oak." was alive and well and living outside my chamber door.

    From Ulysses, Kansas

I spent the day driving from Enid, Oklahoma to Ulysses, Kansas. I am to depart tomorrow for Califonia.
It rained this morning and is clear now,  still cold for spring.  I would recommend the Bar Lazy L Bed and
Breakfast on the Bar Lazy L ranch, where they raise Henderson Quarter Horses.  These are really nice folks.

So grateful for their help in making this possible.  This is a recomendation for them.  May they grow and grow.

    Snow Geese

A large population of Snow Geese mingled with ducks and Canadian Geese landed in two areas East of Pocahontas, Arkansas.  This was observed and photographed today, January 7, 2007, by myself, my wife and a gentleman from Northern Ireland.
